Hot Import Nights 2011 Tour Schedule Update
Check out the HIN site! There’s some general news that there’s going to be a 2011 car show tour. Can’t wait for more specific information in regards to date and cities. I’m surprised that the Hot Import Nights website finally updated after 4 months of no updates about a 2011 car show schedule. Well, I’ll take this update, for sure.
Seeing that Los Angeles and Chicago were canceled last year… a few days before they were supposed to open, I’m thinking those two cities should be first on the tour.
Why? Because, there are a few hundred plus people who bought tickets to to those events in those two cities. I’m not sure if these ticket holders have been reimbursed or are still holding the email tickets, but Los Angeles and Chicago need to be on the tour list! Hell, HIN needs to start the tour where they left off in those two cities!
Looks like the promoters will be coming out with a new video game, newsletter, digital magazine and website. This will interesting!

I think there is a lot of frustration with HIN, especially when they cancelled Los Angeles and Chicago at the “last-minute” last year. You are approaching mid-May, and the dates are not yet set. Then you start hearing about a new video game, a digital magazine, etc. It sounds like they are doing way too much, and it will hurt them if they can’t deliver.
What is really going on? A quick update does not tell us anything. How about a sneak look at a screenshot of this “game” or a preview cover of their magazine? Is there time to get Epping or Englishtown on the map given the very few months till July? If you want to book models, you got previous commitments like EAF in San Diego (July 10), SPOCOM (August 6), DUB, XDC. All of them are established and they got their venue/dates set up.
Being quiet does not help everyone. Folks are posting on twitter, FB, MySpace asking still. How about another friendly update, maybe with a list of possible cities that are being considered?

Great post dude! Agree with you on all points. That brings the question… is Hot Import Nights relevant to the industry? Will the car clubs trust the organizer and show at the event and if so, will enough show?
