Motion Auto Show – May 2012 Pictures! Gallery 1
I woke up early for the Motion Auto Show. Took a shower just before 8 and after I got all my equipment together, took a trip on the 405 south down to the Long Beach Convention Center. Oh yea! No traffic for a nice and beautiful Sunday morning. Arrived in Long Beach and parked right across the convention center and paid my $10 for all day parking.
Had a media pass so I was able to start taking pictures about 1 1/2 hours before the doors opened. It was beautiful. The car show floor was almost empty and I had a chance to focus on the cars. So I wandered off to my right, the opposite of the stage area and started messing around with my camera as I began taking pictures.

One thing about the convention center hall is that the lights are scrambled. One moment, you’ll be in an area where the lighting is really good for your camera and then you take a few steps to another car and the lighting is really bad. I was fiddling with my camera setting all day – no big deal though because I’ve been moving towards ‘Manual’ for my Flash unit and this environment made me focus on my camera settings, which I needed!
I’m not really going to talk shit about the price of food. The price won’t decrease because of another rant about the insane cost of convention center food… or even the price of bottled water… a small bottle of war at that – just ridiculous.
I’ve uploaded the first gallery from the 2012 Motion Auto Show. This is primarily cars, with a few car show models like Marie Alvarez and Evelyn Lin… yea, the porn star, in addition to a few others. The second gallery will include pictures from the bikini contest. I also took video of the bikini contest so I’ll upload that into YouTube soon enough. Enjoy the first gallery pictures you all!
You know, if I didn’t have those few hours taking pictures before the doors closed, I’d probably have ended up with less pictures than what I have. I just hope the organizers extend the car show by another 2 hours next year – that’s when the girls get freaky… at night! Assuming the cops would leave, because man, there were a lot of cops walking the show floor.
