Where should I start? From the beginning I guess. I arrived early when all the vendors and car clubs were just setting up shop. To think this was the first time I’ve been back to the Fairplex since… I don’t know, when was the last import tuner car show held here? I think it was 2009. I had a few hours before the crowds arrived so I started taking pictures. Noticed where the restrooms were and the locations of the water fountains – free water!
Taking pictures was the fun part. Saw a lot of familiar faces and car clubs. From LowNSlow, Team Arkan, Team Hate, Import Fashion, itsjdmyo and Savini. The first few hours I aimed to take car pictures only. It was easy because the import models hadn’t arrived yet.
Had to order some drinks because I was thirsty. Didn’t like the Mango shake – tasted weird. The food prices were just expensive. Should have tried to bring in some skittles or something as a snack.
The stage events timing seemed a bit off. That’s why I missed capturing some bikini and go-go events. Basically I got tired of waiting and went back to take more pictures on the floor. My bad luck that I was told they started a few minutes after I left!
Hot Import Nights – Nightshift was still good. I can’t wait for the next one to appear in southern California!
Just had some time to upload two of the gogo videos I took at HIN’s Nightshift on March 10. I’ll try to write a summary of what I saw at Nightshift later today or tomorrow with pictures. While adding two videos is easy, I have a lot more that I’ll be adding in the next few days! I missed two things. I wasn’t there for one of the bikini contests and I missed the gogo competition at the end of the car show. I heard it was good.
Don’t forget everyone! Hot Import Night’s Nightshift is now at the Pomona Fairplex on March 10 from 3 to 10pm. This is a premiere import tuner car show that has been resurrected by Hot Import Nights. What’s the difference between them? Nightshift is outdoors. Seriously. It does make a difference – the feel of the car show is totally different. Especially when it gets dark when everyone just chills, and it does gets cold, so bring your jackets.
Tickets are $25 per person. Not sure how much parking will cost – I’m guessing a minimum of $10 for parking.
So what are you going to see when you go? “Nightclub Stage, Miss HIN LA, Model Search, GoGo Competition, concessions, vendors, music festival” and the hottest modified cars in southern California!
The FWY Series 2012 Charity car show will be held at Miller Scion of Anaheim on March 17 from 11 to 6pm! Doesn’t look like there’s a lot of parking so get there early and be ready to park on the street when it gets filled. Looks like it’s going to be fairly big with some cars, import models and food trucks. Coming after HIN Nightshift, looks like a chill event and its for a great cause.
Date and time – Saturday, 17 March 2012 from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM (PT)
