Saturday, February 16. Kuya Model Expo was today, shit yea!
Yesterday, I charged my camera batteries, multiple AA flash batteries and even the batteries for my compact camera, just in case I needed it. I was prepared as I drove down to Holiday Inn in Torrance for Abe’s first ever model expo.

Now imagine you were about to die from hanging, electrocuted, firing squad or just plain stabbed to death. Now if you had one wish to be with Christine Mendoza or Amy Ames, who would you choose? Now I’m not sure what you’d do with either one, I’ll just leave that to your imagination. However, on one side you have Christine Mendoza who has been in the industry for years, even before I started taking car show pictures. She’s a legend in the industry and she’s still hot as ever! Now there is Amy Ames who has recently started as an import model. I’ve seen her in more than a few car shows this year so she is getting a whole lot of publicity. Hey, hot girls who have hot poses get the photographers buzzing around them taking those pictures right?! On the other hand, Christine Mendoza still shows up at big industry events and every time I see her, I’m surprised and yet very excited! I’m being honest here, I’m a big fan of hers.
Now you gotta look at where Amy Ames is now, basically she’s starting her career. Will she have the longevity that Christine Mendoza has had over the years or will she move on to other things in a year or two? Well, whatever the road she takes, she looks sexy right now!

Hey everyone, I went to the SpoCom Pre-Meet over the weekend and it was pretty good. This was the car meet at the K1 Speed Indoor Go Kart Racing in Anaheim. I wonder if K1 gets a bump in sales with these car meets at their location because this is the second time I’ve been to a car meet at a K1 location. I loved the food, had a Dogzilla hot dog, and a shaved ice from Haleiwa Shave Ice which was excellent. There was a 3rd food truck but it looked too fancy for me.
The weather was California southland hot weather with a fairly nice breeze. I felt cooler outside than I did inside K1 which had a whole mess of people standing around and watching the go-carts go round and round the track. Outside the music was humming, the girls… posing, and the guys just watching. Nice.
A bike crew came by and loitered around for a few minutes and then left with their engine roar. Car clubs, well, let me see, I think Scion Image, Arkan, Streetlightz, Europroject, Forbidden USA, Nokturnal, that’s the one’s I remember, but I know there were a lot more! Take a look at the gallery!
