Some of my favorite photos I took at night when I was at the AutoCon car show at El Toro earlier in December. I especially like how the shadow plays with the atmosphere. It just ads some depth to the pictures that I really like. I should have stayed longer, but it was getting a bit too cold for me. Next time, I better bring a coat and leave it in the car. If I did that, I could have stayed another hour and just chilled.
Sherry Tee, who is she? Well, I first saw her at Hot Import Nights Los Angeles at the model lounge. Went up to her and took some pictures and saw her pictures on the table. She was giving them away for free so wow, I just took one. I like free stuff! Read further for the interview!
Please tell us about yourself. How old are you?
I’m 20 years old, turning 21 in January! It’s about time!
What’s your ethnic background? Where do you live? What languages do you speak?
I am ¾ Chinese & ¼ Vietnamese. I speak English & Vietnamese fluently and understand a little bit of Spanish & Chinese. I regret not learning how to speak Chinese when I was younger. I currently live in beautiful San Diego, CA!
Thought I would post 2 more videos from the Hot Import Nights GoGo competition. The competition is now getting really fierce with the competitors getting down to 2 gogo dancers! The crowd goes wild, as the guys behind me are calling for one girl and another part of the crowd cheering the other girl!
So where did I leave off? Who cares. I just babble a lot without thinking. Moving my fingers without looking at my grammar. I like taking pictures and moving around and just moving along with everyone. Like the Buddha sitting below a palm tree in the Middle East… uhh, yea. I really do have to think about what I’m going to write… before I start.
When I was at the stage watching the bikini contests and go go dancers, I had only one problem. The freaking fog machine was going crazy, spewing that stuff every few minutes into everyone’s faces. Wish the fog machine was located at the back of the stage. I think it would have been better.
Oh yea, one thing I remember was that I was asked to buy a picture by one of the import models. Just struck me. I know the import models have a stash of pictures they have on the table for sale. I think that’s pretty cool, and if there’s someone next to me who is interested in buying a picture, I just leave them be so she can get a sale. However, when I’m asked to buy a picture and I say no, but I’ll take your picture, and she gives you that negative vibe, I just walk to another model or just walk around the hall. No reason to pay anything if you don’t want to.
My point is that Hot Import Nights and other big import tuner car shows like SpoCom, Motion and Autocon are the events where models try to get noticed by people attending and get the interests of the photographers. When import models get their photos taken and their pictures posted on social network sites or industry websites, that’s great exposure! That’s word of mouth, especially from the photographers, because hey, photogs talk to each other and they also talk to guys in the industry asking who was that girl?
From there, a model just needs to go to each car show event and get more exposure and some even get the attention of the car magazines to grace their covers, in addition to becoming a promotional model for a parts or car manufacturer or big daddy NOS picks them up to be a NOS girl! You know, the shit that pays a lot of money! Some lucky few might even become the next Leah Dizon who became an idol in Japan for god sakes!
Yea, so just chilled around taking pictures and some videos of the bikini contest and Go Go dancers! One more gallery to go with some rambling about… whatever comes up!
Dude, its almost 6pm. I’ve been working on the videos and images I took at Hot Import Nights since noon, while I ordered some pizza and buffalo wings. Love this new computer. Would have taken me a few days to do all the shit I did this afternoon. Now I have to figure out what the hell happened with the image titles appearing and showing my camera name… need to find a program that can do a batch process to change the camera info.
Hot Import Nights, how was it? I liked it. At first when I entered those entrance doors and looked to the right and the left, I thought it was really small. It didn’t look like what was shown on the event diagram in facebook. Then I started walking around – starting on the left side of the hall and took some pics of the DUB Magazine cars, and then I saw the main stage; oh shoot, there’s more cars over there, a lot more. After I took some videos of a couple of go go dancers on the main stage, I checked out the model lounge and stayed there… for a few minuets…
I walked to the other side of the hall and shit, there were more cars there. More than I thought. My “What the hell” moment came when I saw food stalls not run by the convention center, WTF! There was Chinese, Mexican and some ice cream being sold. Never thought the convention center would allow private food sellers under their roof. Bought myself some chicken tacos. Better yet, I later found the water fountain, and yea – free water!
Hot Import Nights lasted from 4 to 11pm. Man that was long. Had a fun time. I saw white people, yellow, black, brown. I saw the entire UN of people come together and have a great time… car shows can bring people together! What the hell, dude, I guess I’ve been looking at my monitor too long. Check out the pictures from the first photo gallery! I’ll have the second posted tomorrow!
Haven’t posted stuff in a few days. Done a few things. After more than 5 years. Not really sure the exact date when I last bought my old computer, but it was old. It would take hours to render videos and just as long when I was processing my pictures. So I recently bought a new computer and man, it’s really fast! I did some video test renders and it took about 2 minutes to complete… DAMN!
Also been playing Battlefield 3, and it’s pretty good. There’s some things I miss from BF2, but I’m looking at High and Ultra settings and man, the graphics are incredible!
Oh yea, AutoCon will be back this year! This will be the second year that it will be held in Southern California. Last year’s event was pretty good. This is going to be held a week after Hot Import Nights, so December is going to be a fairly busy month for everyone!
