Sunday, two car meets. The Harlem Shake car meet east of Los Angeles and the K1 Speed car meet down in Irvine. Wanted to go to both of them, but I couldn’t, so I had to choose, and finally decided to go to the K1 Speed car meet due to the food trucks. Yea, I wanted to try a burger from Sexy Burger and how was the burger I ordered? I ordered the Naked Burger and it tasted like an In-N-Out burger. The buns were lightly flamed and it added a distinct crispiness when I munched into the burger. So it tasted good! The fries that I ordered were really good. Crispy on the outside and fluffy on in the inside! Liked the fries at Sexy burger more than the one’s at In-N-Out.

Where should I start? From the beginning I guess. I arrived early when all the vendors and car clubs were just setting up shop. To think this was the first time I’ve been back to the Fairplex since… I don’t know, when was the last import tuner car show held here? I think it was 2009. I had a few hours before the crowds arrived so I started taking pictures. Noticed where the restrooms were and the locations of the water fountains – free water!
Taking pictures was the fun part. Saw a lot of familiar faces and car clubs. From LowNSlow, Team Arkan, Team Hate, Import Fashion, itsjdmyo and Savini. The first few hours I aimed to take car pictures only. It was easy because the import models hadn’t arrived yet.
Had to order some drinks because I was thirsty. Didn’t like the Mango shake – tasted weird. The food prices were just expensive. Should have tried to bring in some skittles or something as a snack.
The stage events timing seemed a bit off. That’s why I missed capturing some bikini and go-go events. Basically I got tired of waiting and went back to take more pictures on the floor. My bad luck that I was told they started a few minutes after I left!
Hot Import Nights – Nightshift was still good. I can’t wait for the next one to appear in southern California!
Taking a picture of this NSX.

Posted the first Nisei Showoff 2011 car show pictures!
So how was it? Pretty good. If you’ve been to the Nisei car show previously, then you know its geared towards the cars and as an aside, a few import models. So I left early and found easy parking by Senor Fish right across the Japanese American Museum. Cost me $6.50 to park there all day. Last year I arrived a few hours late and I was looking for parking for a long time. Didn’t like it much, so that’s why I left home early this time.
Ate some tacos at Senor Fish because I was there early and Nisei car show wasn’t open yet. Just chilled. Then I just walked across the street to Honda Plaza and just wandered around. Finally found myself at the front of the Japanese American Museum just watching everyone as the vendors were sitting up their booths.
