Auto Gallery 2012 Car Show Final Thoughts
October 2nd, 2012
Auto Gallery, that sweet car show at Huntington Beach that was held last month. I’m wondering why it has taken so long to update my original summary. Well, ta da! Huntington Beach, this was my first time going to this beach city. I never had any reason or inclination to hang out there, until Auto Gallery!
The drive down the 405 was nothing to talk about, it went smooth like concrete. So I arrived early, too early, about an hour early. Paid my $15 bucks for parking. I think that has to be the most I’ve paid for parking at any car show. Well, the parking lot was just next to Auto Gallery, so the walk was minimal and the beach was a few minutes away from the car show.
Yea, the morning definitely had a nice beach breeze and the day was sunny. After looking back at my drive, I thought I saw some street parking on Beach Blvd that didn’t have no meters. Well, if I didn’t mind the walk, I probably would have taken one of those spots, but I’m really lazy. I saw the $15 day parking rate as a convenience fee.
The Auto Gallery space was enclosed by a fence. I just walked with no problems. Did you read what I just wrote? I arrived about an hour early and I just walked into the enclosed area. No guards or anything. Just walked in. Started taking pictures of the cars and vendors still setting up their areas. Only a few guys roaming around, and saw some buddies and oh shit. Hey dude, you better get your bracelet or they’ll you kick out.
