I decided to skip the speed&stance car meet in Fontana on Cinco de Mayo and drive down south to Torrance and do some coverage of the Relaxin in SoCal event. I took pictures last year of the same car meet and it was closer to where I lived. So yea, I had my reasons to go and it was fun. I did notice a lack of import tuner cars other than 1 or 2 that appeared. Plus, I didn’t have to pay $10 to get into Auto Club Speedway. Instead, I used $5 for 5 tacos at Relaxin in SoCal! What a freaking great deal.

What are you going to do on Cinco de Mayo if you live in Southern California? Hell! You have multiple options with 3 car shows below! Best of all, they are all free! Looks like there is a $10 parking/entrance fee at the Auto Club Speedway – but entering the car meet is free. Where are they? This is the cool part, because they are geographically very far apart, so everyone will be able to drive to a car meet that is relatively close to their homes – Torrance, Anaheim and Fontana. Those locations basically surround downtown Los Angeles, and one of those meets should be close all car enthusiasts!

From the west side, Relaxin in SoCal will be held in Torrance. There’s going to be a lot of custom cars from every genre and model out there. Also, a special appearance by Dramarama, as they sing favorite songs from the 80s(?). I did a google search and hey, what do you know, I’ve heard their songs before, I’ve been a fan without knowing it!

Saturday, February 16. Kuya Model Expo was today, shit yea!

Yesterday, I charged my camera batteries, multiple AA flash batteries and even the batteries for my compact camera, just in case I needed it. I was prepared as I drove down to Holiday Inn in Torrance for Abe’s first ever model expo.
